 Vintage Chicks
Did you know today is National Bugs Bunny Day?

BRING YOUR CHICK TO CHURCH DAY.  Yes, this is a blatant play on Bring Your Kid to Work Day. I had a request for one of our Chicks and the easiest way to meet this friend was at church yesterday morning. She already has one of our Chicks, but declared "It is lonely and needs a friend or two." So I gathered up our brood and brought them along. Four of them found new homes, but the ones left behind got lots of love. It's hard to resist not picking up one of these rice-filled bags of cuteness.

WaTurHill CreationsWe have been blessed with several old quilts that have been well used. If the quilt is beyond repair, we upcycle. One such quilt, made with 1930's and 1940's feed sack fabrics, upcycled into our Vintage Chicks. Another quilt we are upcycling made its way onto an apron front. What an honor to preserve someone else's creation and see it treasured by a new generation.

I'm not sure what today's adventure will bring; upcycled or new. It doesn't really matter because the highlight of this week is spending time with all of the creators at WaTurHill. Family time is our true treasure.

Enjoy this day the Lord has given us.
